About the role:

The EMEA G&A Indirect Procurement Team focuses on a €800 million spend across categories like HR Services, Travel, and Facility Management, covering operations in over 5,000 stores. The UK/Ireland & Nordics cluster within this team is responsible for Facility Management and GNFR, managing approximately €30 million in spend across 1,000 stores. The role includes developing regional sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, driving demand management, and aligning with global category management teams. The position demands strong procurement leadership and autonomy in managing the sourcing process, financial performance, and stakeholder initiatives.

 

Internally, the position will be referred to as: EMEA - Indirect Procurement G&A Facility Management category manager UK/Ireland and Nordics  

 

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Direct accountability for a €30 million spend across over 1,000 stores in the UK/Ireland & Nordics region, covering G&A categories such as GNFR and Facility Management.
  2. Governance and control of the FM category baseline in the UK/Ireland & Nordics, with a focus on defining and implementing regional sourcing strategies aligned with Global and Regional Category Managers.
  3. Identify synergies and efficiencies across Retail, Wholesale, and Operations to optimize contract performance by managing cost levers like pricing and demand.
  4. Lead a sustainable savings plan, tracking and reporting savings and KPIs within the assigned area of responsibility.
  5. Build and enhance stakeholder relationships to centralize procurement and budgeting governance within EssilorLuxottica.
  6. Influence and support business decisions through procurement analysis and cost management for business case scenarios.
  7. Manage local and regional category projects, ensuring requirement analysis, documentation, and presentations to C-level executives.
  8. Establish regional vendor relationships, monitor compliance, create a list of Preferred Suppliers, and harmonize vendor panels while facilitating knowledge sharing across EMEA and other global regions

 

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies and skills:

  • Capacity to lead sourcing optimization projects in a multi-country environment with a certain degree of complexity into the management of internal stakeholders (Integration underway of Grand Vision 4B€ retail business inside the new EssilorLuxottica, combining wholesale and retail activities)
  • Significant experience in procurement, preferably in procurement category management at regional and or global levels within a multinational organisation.
  • Capability and interest to work on various purchasing categories
  • Finance knowledge of the main KPI covering Procurement spectrum in terms of Financials, P&L structure, business case preparation, make or buy analysis, accounting and Procure to Pay process
  • Background in the whole G&A category or in Retail (HR, Facilities, Consulting, Professional Services, Utilities…) will be an added value
  • Strong problem-solving attitude, collaboration driven perspective and solid leadership capability to deal with complex footprint not fully integrated yet
  • MS Office Suite is a pre-requisite, SAP and Ariba recommended
