.About The Role

Are you passionate about providing the best experience for colleagues? We’re looking for a people services advisor to join our people and culture team at our store support centre in Ruddington. Here you’ll be the first point of contact supporting our colleagues across an estate of almost 600 nationwide stores, store support centre and retail fulfilment hub, providing advice and administration support to all colleagues across the business.  As part of the people services hub you’ll be a key influencer in the colleague experience. 

 

What can you expect from the role?

 

We’ll look to you to provide a level of support to colleagues and managers on low level employee relations/HR matters – supporting and coaching managers with their decision making. This could also include general HR queries that you'll escalate through a tier approach when needed.

 

As a people services advisor you'll be maintaining confidential colleague data and support on all aspects of the colleague life cycle from issuing contracts of employment to arranging inductions. Working with managers across the business, you’ll also make sure information for new hires is received in a timely fashion to create a seamless onboarding experience.

About you

 

We’re looking for candidates looking for the first step on the HR career ladder after completing a HR qualification or someone from a customer service background. We'd like to see you grow and so a desire to progress won't go un-noticed.

 

This is a key role where you’ll build relationships with a number of our colleagues, so we’re looking for someone who can build rapport quickly and create joy in every conversation. If we make a promise, we stick to it – always taking accountability.  Due to the fast-paced nature of the role, you’ll be organised and have the ability to manage a varied workload. You’ll always be on the lookout for ways to work better and it would also be great if you were a bit of a wiz with excel too.
