Do you have a passion for creating joy for our colleagues? We have an exciting opportunity for a Part-time Payroll Administrator to join our HR team on an initial 12 months Fixed term contract here at our Store Support Centre in Ruddington, Nottingham. As our Payroll Administrator you will be delivering efficient payroll administration for specific regions with associated stores, ensuring accurate payments are made to all employees on the UK, Joint Venture, Southern Ireland and Jersey payrolls.

 

What can you expect from the role?

 

As a Payroll Administrator you will be responsible for ensuring that all new starters, leavers and change of details are validated within the HR/Payroll system, including the calculation of backpay. You will also be responsible for:

 

  • Performing all necessary checks before calculating the payrolls for allocated regions, making sure all exception reports are checked verifying accuracy before the final payments are generated.
  • Inputting all the necessary benefits data accurately onto the HR/Payroll system.
  • Distributing the post BACS outputs to include payslips, P45’s and monthly costing reports.
  • Completing manual tax and National Insurance calculations, explaining these to employees when required and Liaising with HMRC on behalf of employees, where necessary.
  • Validation of hours submitted by store against employee contract hours and corresponding with stores where a discrepancy is identified.

About you

 

We are looking for someone who is a great communicator, has excellent organisational skills and is a self starter. You will need to a good understanding of Microsoft products and have previous experience of working within a payroll environment.
