About the role: 

The purpose of the role of Talent & Development Manager is to implement and manage the UK businesses talent, performance and career development frameworks and processes by collaborating with key stakeholders across the business. The role will use data & Insight to make decisions that will support pipeline talent across the business. This role will play a key role in managing stakeholder relationships across the business to enhance and elevate our Talent and Performance approach.   
 
What You’ll Be Doing: 

  • Drive Talent Initiatives: Implement local, regional, and global talent management strategies by collaborating with leaders to define priorities. 

  • Talent Mapping & Reporting: Own talent mapping efforts and track key performance metrics across the UK, partnering with the HR team for system management. 

  • Support Key Projects: Lead succession planning, talent reviews, career paths, and talent mobility initiatives. 

  • Execution & Partnership: Ensure timely execution of talent processes by closely partnering with senior leaders. 

  • Enable Talent Conversations: Develop user-friendly tools and training for line managers to facilitate talent discussions. 

  • Succession & Career Planning: Assist leadership in identifying critical roles and creating focused succession plans. 

  • Global Collaboration: Work with global partners to adapt talent strategies for local business needs. 

  • Align L&D Initiatives: Partner with the Leonardo Team to align talent and performance strategies with ongoing development needs. 

  • Inclusive Strategy Development: Create a talent roadmap that supports diversity targets within succession pools. 

Performance 

  • Manage Performance Framework: Oversee a performance management system that connects reward to performance and progression. 

  • Seamless Performance Cycle: Deliver a comprehensive performance management process, including objective setting and career conversations. 

  • Partner on Reward Alignment: Collaborate with the Reward Manager to ensure consistency in performance-related rewards. 

  • Enhance Systems Processes: Manage and improve systems that support performance review processes.
